Event Ticket - Still Waters - Empire Player Event

Event Ticket - Still Waters - Empire Player Event

4th - 6 July 2025

Navarr has decided, the National Assembly has voted overwhelmingly for war.

Stridings are no longer walking the trods and preparations are underway to raise more armies. News of the decision is carried to every striding and steading, war is coming and destiny calls.

Far removed from the politics and debates of the nation, in the shadow of the Western Mountains of Hercynia, lies the insular steading of Questors View. Messages are sent informing the Vate of this news, only to return with rebukes and threats of hostility. Curious of the response to this message the Local magistrate makes the decision to visit the Steading. Now the magistrate's return is overdue.

Is their disappearance any indication of something more sinister?

  • Event Details

Combat/Social event with plot, skirmishes, alcohol and more...

Event set in Navarr but all nations are welcome!

Camping will be available from Thursday at 2pm with the event starting at 6pm on Friday evening.

OC campers are welcome but unfortunately, we do not have the facilities for caravans, tents only please!

The event is self-catered, and you will need to bring all your own food. We do not have the facilities to keep food cold but if you need medication to be kept in a fridge, please let us know. If you do not have IC cooking facilities but have a gas cooker, for example, an area will be set up in the OC camping area for you to use your equipment and cook out of sight of the in-character spaces.

The early booking price for the event is £75 with an additional £10 for optional Thursday night camping. After the early booking deadline of 11:59 pm on Friday 2nd April 2025, the cost will increase to £90 for the event plus £10 for Thursday night.

There will be a maximum of 130 attendees with a waitlist if we reach this limit.

Time-in will follow the same schedule as Empire mainline events, with the exception of a soft time-out from 1pm on Sunday.

This will be a high-combat event but there will be lots of plot for combat and non-combat characters alike with all combat completely optional.

The event will be sanctioned so players will be expected to follow normal Empire rules.

  • Campsite

The event will take place at Root 'n' Branch Acres, located on the south-east outskirts of Birmingham with good links to Birmingham Airport and a train station (Hampton in Arden) less than a 10-minute walk away.

Unfortunately, there is no running water for drinking on site. Limited bottled water will be provided for drinking and cooking but please bring your own bottled water if possible.

The site has a 4-room toilet block with 3 small cubicles containing a toilet and a sink each. The 4th room is a row of urinals and water is recycled in this unit so that whenever the sinks are used, the wastewater flushes the urinals. There are no showers on the site.

  • Monstering Crew

We are looking for a large number of combat players to volunteer for 3.5-hour shifts on our monstering crew. We will be having a full schedule of both combat and non-combat encounters over the weekend and will need volunteers to play monsters and NPCs for these encounters. These shifts are as follows:

    • Friday 6pm-9:30pm
    • Saturday 2:00pm-5:30pm
    • Saturday 6pm-9:30pm

To keep costs down for a high-combat event, we have opted for a voluntary shift system as opposed to a full-time monster crew. This has proven very successful with both players and crew in the past as it gives players the opportunity to play NPCs and boss-type monsters which is not an option for most players attending a mainline event. Therefore, we will be using it again for this event.

At Empire events, if you want to take part in one of the big battles as your character, you are expected to monster the other. The shift system works similarly. To keep things fair and to ensure that the encounters are exciting and dangerous for the players, we ask every combat player to volunteer for 1 monstering slot, but if you monster for 2 shifts or more, as a token of our appreciation, we will deduct a small amount off your ticket price.

Please use one of the following promo codes at checkout depending on how many shifts you would like to sign up for and then use the post-checkout form (link will be in your confirmation email) to indicate what shift(s) you would like to volunteer for:

If volunteering for 2 shifts use code 'monstercrew2' for a £5 discount
If volunteering for 3 shifts use code 'monstercrew3' for a £10 discount

  • Refund Policy

If you can no longer attend the event, we are able to offer full refunds up until the early booking deadline but ask that you first attempt to sell your ticket on as it would really help us out. After that date, all site fees will have been paid and we will no longer be able to offer full refunds. In that instance, we ask that players attempt to sell their ticket on to another player.
